Delivery Help Needed




One or more Connect groups are donating money to purchase two boxes of fruit and vegetables for use by UNOH. They are used to either distribute to families who can benefit from them or for use in cooking classes designed to teach good nutrition.

Some generous souls have been collecting these boxes each fortnight and delivering them to an address in Bidwell. However, due to changes in the family routine, this is no longer possible. So we need someone else to take over this responsibility.

The job involves -

1. Picking up the two boxes each fortnight between 5 & 6pm on Friday afternoon from a home address in Vineyard.

2. Delivering them to a home address in Bidwell on Friday night or Saturday.

3. This needs to start on Friday September 26 (or thereabouts)

More Updates - August 2014

Praise The Lord:
- That we have been able connect some more Christian women from our neighbourhood with girls from our community - to mentor them.
- That the girls and Lisa seem better after recent viruses.
- That Jon seems to have skipped a winter illness and his knee is healing.
- For the generous provision of people towards UNOH Leadership Training

Please Pray:
- For the family of a girl from our youth group who’s mother suddenly died last week - that her Christian faith will sustain her.
- Continue to seek the Lord about starting a church - there seems to be spiritual opposition whenever we raise things like this.
- For Jon as he is about to hit the road for ministry speaking.
- For Joe and Emma Macleod - that they will begin their faith support team raising with confidence!
- For Elise (a team member) as she prepares to go on sabbatical for a time of discernment to hear clearly what God wants her to do in the future.
- For Lisa - she has had so many headaches lately.

Local Park Gets a Workout!




These photos were taken at a UNOH organised event, where the local park was opened for the first time in ten years!

Jon rallied up the community and they enjoyed a great night of football. The photos ( taken by Terina after a request sent out by jon) capture the joy on the children's faces. It's just a shame that children in Bidwill are not able to do things like this on a regular basis!

For opportunities to disciple three young men in the neighbourhood are presenting themselves.

For recovery for Jon from an arthroscopic knee surgery.
For Lisa as she recovers with Kiera and Kshama from a virus.
For Jon as he approaches supporters for extra funds for training - pray for the Lords provision and confidence.

- For the couple who we asked you pray for previously - they did not attend the camp due to a suicide in the neighbourhood
- June 17-23 Jon and Adam are taking 6 teenagers on a discipleship /leadership camp out to Brewarrina. Please pray for safety and protection. and for Lisa as she is home alone at this time.
- For balance between family life, team life and ministry

Prayer for UNOH - May 11, 2014









Please join us in prayer for:

- Breakthrough in discipleship groups - that our men and women will powerfully experience the love and grace of God in their lives. 

- for David and Kelly (a young couple we are discipling) to give their lives to Christ - they are attending a conference this weekend (16-17). Please pray that their hearts are open to receiving Jesus.

- for Lisa's health to continue to improve with recent changes in medication for depression and anxiety

- for strength for our team. 

- for hearts to be open to starting a church in our community 

- for wisdom for Jon in his National Director's Role

- that God opens the door to reveal which high school he wants Kshama to attend next year.

- for our new Sports Group starting on Tuesdays to be a successful way to begin to encourage troublesome youth.

- for more female mentors to come forward for some of our local teens. 

Thank The Lord:

- For provision of admin and staff to replace roles at the UNOH office with Russell's retirement.
- For the doors God is opening up to have an influence with local government and council.
- for the successful start of another team down the road in Blackett.
- that our community continues to embrace more and more responsibility as we move our ministries towards development based ministry.
