You might remember that, late last year, we collected Christmas presents for UNOH to give out to folk in their community. Here's some of Jon's feedback.
"We shared a beautiful Christmas lunch with 56 people present and our notoriously grumpy Santa behaved himself well and gave out presents without a hitch. There were squeals of delight from adults and children alike. The few presents left over quietly slipped into the hands of kids roaming the streets who came from houses that somehow Santa forgot. Thanks to everyone at Rivergum."
Then after Christmas, Jon said -
"Since then we have had the Sydney festival come to our neighbourhood with the unoh crew providing support for the team and community. It has been a wonderful time of celebrating the strengths of our community."
Fruit & Vegie Boxes
With the Lindsay's moving to Victoria, the Missions Team were looking for people to take on this existing assistance to UNOH. We are pleased to report and give thanks for Jo Moreman who has taken over this very practical ministry!
Photographer Wanted
It will be the first time that sport has been played on the oval in over a decade! The local paper have agreed to do Jon's story on it too but needed someone with photographic skills and a great camera to take some shots of the lads in action. The photos will be put into the Mt Druitt standard and published online.
So Jon put out a call to Rivergum! And as a result, we say a big thank you to Terina Jones who has answered the call and will be going out to Bidwell Reserve with her skills and camera tonight! Well done Terina.
